Burke Lectureship Student Conversation with Bill McKibben
Hosted by the Eugene M. Burke C.S.P. Lectureship on Religion and Society
Thursday, April 23, 2026 | 2:30 – 3:30 PM
UC San Diego Climate Action Lab
As part of the Burke Lectureship’s campus visit with Bill McKibben, UC San Diego students engaged in environmental leadership and sustainability initiatives are invited to join a special conversation at the Climate Action Lab.
An author, educator, and activist, McKibben has spent more than three decades helping shape the global climate movement. As the founder of 350.org and the national organizing network Third Act, he has helped mobilize communities around the world to take meaningful action on climate change.
This informal student gathering will offer an opportunity to hear directly from McKibben and engage in dialogue about climate advocacy, campus leadership, and the role students can play in advancing environmental solutions. The conversation is designed to encourage reflection, questions, and the sharing of ideas among students committed to building a more sustainable future.
Light refreshments will be provided, offering a chance for students to continue informal conversation and connection before and after the discussion.
